Pre Cana
The Pre Cana program is a marriage preparation program that fullills the Diocesan requirement. This program is held annually and lead by parish couples. The program covers topics including the early years of marriage, faith in marriage, and Natural Family Planning. Couples will hear several speakers and have opportunities to share in small groups, as well as time for private couple reflection. The Pre Cana team also welcomes new couples to join this important ministry.
All couples are required to register in advance and spots fill up quickly.
The 2012 sessions will be held on February 17-18, and attendance at both sessions is required.

World Marriage Day
The Pre Cana team also sponsors a reception on World Marriage Day, which celebrates the holiness of the Sacrament of Marriage.
On February 12, 2012, the Assumption Pre Cana team will sponsor a reception in McGovern Hall following the 10 a.m. Mass. The reception features a slide show of married parishoners and engaged couples who participated in our Pre Cana program.
All couples are invited to submit photos for the slide show. Photos may be dropped off at the rectory in an envelope marked "World Marriage Day." Please include your names, date of wedding, and a telephone number. The photos will be returned to you after they are scanned. Couples that have submitted wedding photos in the past are also welcome to submit current photos.
